Hibernation

Well, it is finally getting cold outside which means I have to hibernate.

My mom says she is jealous of me. I don't get it.

She is jealous of me because I get to bury my head in the sand for the next couple of months!

It doesn't sound all that glamorous to me but nevertheless

she says she wishes she could join me!

Hi my name is Shelly Beans. I am 8 years old.
I am a desert toroise. I was rescued by the Arizona Fish and Game Department.
I was recently adopted by a wonderful new family. My new dad is Dan Wheeler and my mom is Debbie Goodsell. I have a two legged human sister named Cassi, she is awesome!
Unfortunately, I also have FIVE four legged brothers and sisters. Mom says they're dogs - I don't know why they want to eat me!
Dad and mom made me two new homes! I need a winter and a spring home. Dad got some GIGANTIC rocks from one of his clients yesterday. Dad is a Realtor. Today mom and dad carefully placed the rocks around the entrances to my new homes. They look Fabulous!
I ate some greens, nibbled on dads toes, soaked in the pond and then went back to bed.
I hope to have some pics for you very soon.
My mom is an artist, she has already painted a picture of me. Maybe she will let me post here.
